Like his brother, the two spend most of their time sleeping or lazily strolling around together.
Despite being the younger brother of the two he's the one to protect and even be aggressive (not too much, it's against their nature).
These two like a lot of sleep so when a loud noise or some creature comes along he believes it will disturb his brother (who is a light sleeper) so he scares it away. He's suspicious of just about anything. However Sopor is always telling him it's okay, let the other creatures make their noise, but Somnus just grunts that they should let them sleep in peace.
He also doesn't take losing very well, luckily even when the brothers argue there is no need for either to lose...
So Somnus is like the protective more snarky brother
