Evolution Druid Luna

The embodiment of fake it until you make it.

" I would rather die of passion than of boredom. "

​Once there was a thriving city, led by the Luna, they were people of restlessness, advancement, change. Hands led by their imaginations. Not even the buildings in the city of Naeris stayed the same for long.

It was right on track to becoming the most advanced city in the world, recovering to a point where once civilization had been before The Core War. Even their divine magic and beliefs were intertwined in a balance with their technological and arcane advancement, allowing for the equivalent of candidates for future Champions of the deities patrons of the city.

Born with the name Sherriala to earn, Sherri had been one of the very few children taught the dying line of druidic magic: evolution. This granted her the ability to rapidly evolve features alike to other beasts to adapt to situations. Constant training of these abilities took time away from her parents, who especially wished to train her in the more common magics of nature to become a druid.  Nevertheless, she and her family and all the rest, thrived.

So it seems almost inevitable that something would seek to ruin the concentration of growth. In this case, a corruption. Spreading like a rash, darkness as dark as a shadow crawled over the skin of the Luna and turned them into mindless savages in the process. So quickly, so efficiently that all others that called Naeris home were quickly wiped out. Then the infected Luna, simply turned on each other or themselves in a sort of self-destruct or ceased to live by some natural end to the sickness. Sherri and the other few Vestus Chosen children were the only few to survive being infected for no other reason than they seemed able to change their skin colour, trapping the shadow in its tracks. And were only saved from the beasts the other had become by sheltering in the Vetsus temple. There, the Sol found them.

With no clue what to do with the children and how to cure the corruption, they were taken to Ribosa (the plane of dreams) in hopes that they would remain safe from time, therefore slowing the corruption's spread. And this seemed to work. However, on the outside world, they also seemed to be... forgotten.

Eventually, after who knows how long, someone came for them. They were brought to the great city Arkhelium. Where they began to be poked, prodded, and slowly but surely, experimented on. It was by pure luck that Sherri had the faintest druidic training that she was able to escape with a shifted form.

​

Now on the run, she had to run far. Leaving the empire behind and eventually, she found her way to Aeraius, the Amorphe tribe dedicated to protecting the Seam of the Air Vacosia. Here, she was able to learn more about druidic magic under the tutelage of a literal Bear, but was still kept at arms reach from the rest, should her corruption spread. But she was happy, she had a place finally. Right? Until she didn't, for their own sake, she willingly left and that's how she found her way into an odd group that would eventually be dubbed: Hex Harmany

PERSONALITY

  • Aims to be a one size fits all with friends, an amiable jack of the trades in social circles and situations

  • However, is absent and has very little skill in maintaining friendships

  • Excitable, upbeat and eager wild card

EVOLUTION ADAPTIONS [ Training ]

  • Evolution is the changing of an organic form to adapt to the environment, Sherri can simply do this at an extremely expedited rate to quickly change to suit her situation. 

  • She is only limited by materials, similar to the components needed by learned magic users.

  • Either the material is directly taken from the source, feathers for wings for example

  • OR the abilities of the feature must align with the image they imitate (E.g. the image of wings = flight)

  • Her Common Melds/Adaptions:

    • Paw-padded printed socks = pawed and clawed feet

    • Wings embroidered on her wings = fully flight-able wings

    • Anything wrapped around her waist = swings it around like a tail

    • Rabbit ear headband = functional enhanced hearing ears

  • She can manipulate paint, ink, dyes etc in any way she wishes. Whether this is to draw out the colour of an object and weave it through the air to mix with another object to change the colour or to change the colour of her own features whenever she wishes

  • By default she tends to use this to brighten her freckles, and change her nail colours or her lips without the need for cosmetics.

  • More extremely she can interact with images, whether to pull an object out or pull herself in – this, therefore, works best with photos. For example:

    • Pull a happy meal to eat straight from a Mcdonald's advertisement poster

NATURE MAGIC [Training]

  • Manipulate, hinder or enhance plant growth

  • Communicate with animals and plants

  • Use certain grows for combat, defence, stealth or protection, for example, brambles to blockade, vines to save a falling ally etc

  • The full extent and range of her abilities have yet to be fully discovered but she's certainly determined
     

Beast Shifting [Training]

  • Is able to change her form into that of any animal or plant while retaining her mental state

  • This is different from Lysotaurs who keep their human size and mix features to essentially boost the animal abilities for combat specifically. Whereas druidic shifting is limited by the physiology of the animal they're shifting into.
  • For example, a druid, such as Sherri, can turn into a rabbit and jump just as far as they can in relation to its size. Whereas a Lysotaur of the rabbit Family can change their legs to that of a human-sized rabbit's legs to leap much further in relation to their human size.

  • Energetic: jumps up on things when possible, runs around and expends energy especially when excited

  • Friendly and eager to make friends, but can be so awkward when doing so. Never really instigates interactions, she'll wait until she's approached first.

However, as Sherri quickly learned by shoving past his unintentionally cold demeanour, he is a huge nerd and theatre dweeb. Luckily she stuck around and he had no choice but to be her friend. She's now probably his closest friend, and friend-of-a-friend with all her friends so he's not flying solo anymore. He's very observant and inwardly very much enjoying the drama of the group.

For example, she comes up with sketches of contraptions and he tries to make them. He enjoys playing the fiddle and she is always the first to hop up and jig to encourage the others.
